So it's going to be pretty obvious from the URL change, but also just the overall gutting that the site has undergone - I'm re-branding and changing things around.
While Eternity's Emporium of Eccentricities was fun, and I enjoyed it... I had been, for the past 8 months or so, been considering a rebranding. I had been "Eternity" for so long, and it just didn't feel like it fit any more. After those 8 months of thinking and trying to come up with something that felt right, I ended up going with Mister Morgue. "Mister Morgue" is actually a play on my real name: Morgan. When I was younger, there were a few people who would sometimes call me "Morg" which - as you can guess - sounds like "Morgue." Now that I'm older, I thought that this wouldn't be a bad idea to go with. It's like a nickname for my real name, and M.M. are my initials, so I think it all goes very well together. It felt right, it's my aesthetic, and I think it'll work out really well. "The Ossuarium" was a suggestion by a friend, since "MisterMorgue" and even "MrMorgue" were taken on both Twitter and Instagram. An Ossuary is a container or a room where the bones of the deceased are often placed - a final resting place after being moved over from a temporary one. "Ossuarium" is basically the same thing, it just looks neat and is similar to "Emporium" in that it's got the "ium" at the end of it. Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy. I hope that everyone can get on board with the changes, and get used to things as I gut and rebuild this place from the ground up. I have to go through a lot of the old art I had posted up and re-tag them with the new banner and such, and eventually I need to get together and put up a new .com handle since I let EternitysEmporium.com lapse for the re-branding decision. It's going to take a little bit of time, but everything's moving along, and I'm happy with my decision to change things over. Thanks for hanging out, and sticking with me through this. I hope that the future of this site as well as the future of my art and writing and general creative process will be something that you'll all enjoy and can look forward to! -M
